When we were at Home Depot recently, I picked up this Fall Baking magazine. I've made several recipes already, and yesterday I made pumpkin chocolate bars. Yum!
In May next year we're going to Alaska, and I have been doing tons of research about what I want to do there. The one thing that I'm dying to do is walk on a glacier. I've decided to go with Coastal Helicopter tours for our glacier walk.
My wedding band. A couple months ago, my finger started itching and I had a bright red line underneath my wedding band, so I stopped wearing my wedding band. I'm highly allergic to nickle, which white gold contains. A couple weeks ago, I took it to the jewelry store to get re-rhodiumed and so far I haven't had any problems.
My neighbors yards. Updating our landscaping isn't in the plans this year (probably not even next year), so in the meantime I'm just going to admire our neighbors' beautiful yards.
I'm always collecting giraffes. They're all over the house, but this tabletop in our bedrooms is the largest grouping of giraffes in the house.
I've been listening to Ryan Adams' 1989 non-stop! I love the way he interpreted Taylor Swift's music.
Sam and I have been watching Ken Burns Civil War documentary on Netflix. It is so interesting, and I've learned so much about this period of history. Instead of only focusing on the famous people involved in the war, the film includes diaries of regular soldiers on both sides of the war. A big highlight of the film is Shelby Foote, a writer and historian, who spoke of the War as if he was there and it just happened yesterday.
Linking up with Anne and Jenna.
