We got married in the old Brick Church in Mooresville, AL, which was built in 1839.
We had a classical guitarist play before and during the ceremony.
The mother's walked down the aisle first.
Left: my mom and grandfather
Middle: Sam's mom and dad
Right: My step-mom and brother-in-law
The bridesmaids and I walked to the church and lined up outside.
You can read about the wedding party here.
Sam's nephew, Nathaniel, was our ring bearer and was escorted by his mother, Suzanne.
And then it was time for me to walk down the aisle!
Apparently I walked so fast that the guitarist barely played any of the music! I was excited!
We said our vows.
And exchanged rings.
We had two readings during the ceremony, which I'll discuss next week.
The Kiss! As a surprise, one of Sam's groomsmen handed him a step-stool for me to stand on for the kiss. You can see it in the photo on the right.
Mr and Mrs Petersen!
After we were married, we rang the church bell. One of guests told us that the number of times we rang the bell is the number of children we'll have. Uhhh, I hope not because we rang the bell about 10 times!
