Interview with my husband

Monday, October 6, 2014

What do you do for a living? "I'm an electrical engineer. Do you want more detail?" (I, Rebecca,  said no) "Good, because I'm not sure I should talk about it."
How tall are you? "Um 6'- 2" to 3".  6'-2" No,  6'-3" What did I put on my dating profile? Please don't put that."
How old are you? 28 today! (Happy birthday to my husband!)
What was your first impression of me? "You were really short."
If you weren't in the profession you are, what would be your other dream profession and why?  "I don't know. I really like my job and I'm good at it. And I get a lot of satisfaction out of it. It gives me the opportunity to do all the hobbies that I would never want to have as a career."
What has been the best decision you ever made? "You mean other than marrying you? Probably getting Finnegan."
Which is the decision you regret the most? "I try not to regret anything. Every decision I've made has led me to the person I am today."
What is your favorite movie? "North by Northwest."
What is your dream vacation? "Chartering a sailboat in the Caribbean. Self charter, or whatever it's called. Not have someone else Captain it."
What is the best vacation you've personally had? "The honeymoon"
What is your favorite season? "Fall"
What is your greatest achievement? "Getting paid to go to college and grad school."
If you had friends coming over, what would you cook? In college it would have been pork steaks on the grill. Now, it would probably be whatever snazzy new recipe that I found that I was waiting for an excuse to try."
What is your biggest goal right now? "Buy a house."
What kinds of things really make you laugh? "Dry humor."
What is your favorite dessert? "Cookies."
What do you like most about Civil War reenactments? "Comradery
What is your idea of a perfect day? "Laying in my hammock with a pipe, my dog, and a good book. And my guitar handy. With you there, of course"
Is there anything else you would like blog readers to know? "Um, no"
