Currently, Vol 5

Anticipating: This weekend's camping trip in Kentucky. This has turned into an annual thing that we do with two other couples every year in Kentucky because it's equal distant for all of us.

camping and sailing trip October 2013

Thankful For: Bestie time! I'm currently in Mississippi with my bestie, Melissa.

We've mostly spent the weekend eating and talking. We also watched The Fault in our Stars because my husband refused to watch it with me.

Loving: These mystery flowers that all the interior designers received at work. We don't know who they are from because no one will admit to it!

Reading:
I've read so much this week!
The Millionaire Next Door, a study of America's millionaires. The authors claim that the average millionaire doesn't drive a flashy car or have a huge house. The average millionaire became a millionaire by being very frugal. The over-consuming American who has 3 cars, 2 homes, and a boat is most likely in huge debt and not a millionaire.

Total Money Makeover. I listened to this during the car ride to Mississippi. I think everyone should read it!

Big Little Lies. I had a hard time getting into this book.

The Hypnotist's Love Story. LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down!

Missing: Even though I'm having lots of fun on my girls weekend, I'm missing my two loves:

Linking up with Joyful Life

  8. I agree Megan! I never considered that most of the over-consumers in America with flashy things are usually in debt!

  10. This was my first girls weekend since getting married, and it was wonderful! Several people thought it was strange that my husband didn't come with me on the trip, but I thought it was perfectly normal to do separate trips after getting married!
