New Year's resolutions check-in

I keep my New Year's resolutions on my kitchen bulletin board.

I just pulled the 2014 resolutions off the board to check in and see how I'm doing.

Get married! DONE May 17, 2014
Cut back on sweets. In progress
Pay off credit card by wedding. Done May 15, 2014!
Start saving for a house. Done! June 2014
Stop using snooze. In progress
Get to work earlier. Sorta in progress since I'm getting up slightly earlier
Work out 4x a week. In progress
Increase student loan payment. Done February 2014
Do the Contentment Challenge January-March. Done!

Half of my resolutions have been accomplished, but I would like to complete all of them. I started Advocare on August 18th, so the working out and cutting back on sweets is a part of that. On the same day, Sam and I decided to stop using snooze for the week of August 18th and so far we've stuck with it. I decided to rewrite the remainder of my resolutions into my September goals to make them less vague.

September goals:
Eat dessert only once a week
Stop using snooze for the entire month
Get to work by 7:45am
Work out 4x a week all month long

We'll see how I do!

  1. I like your "cut back on sweets" resolution. I always have a hard time with that one because I have the biggest sweet tooth!

  2. I am so impressed with your progress on your new years resolutions! Great Job! I also feel that I could copy your entire list of September goals. I need to wrok on all those things as well. Good luck! I think the snooze button would be the hardest for me :)

  3. Melanie, The snooze button is very hard for me! My husband is doing a great job, but I still lay in bed.

  4. I read that you're more likely to accomplish goals that you write down, so I've tried it and I think it helps.

  5. Kasi, it's so hard! But I think I'm doing better on this goal than the "no snooze" goal.
