Oh Hey Friday!

Here are five things I want to accomplish this weekend:

1. Paint these chairs:

This is probably my longest furniture project EVER! I bought these chairs TWO years ago. I started working on taking one apart a year ago, and then never started on the second chair. These chairs are for my sister Stephanie, and she's going to be moving into a house around December, so I really need to buckle down and get these finished!


2. Organize guest room/wedding room. Our guest room has turned into a wedding room/disaster zone/dumping ground! Since my sister Stephanie may be spending some time with us in a couple months, we need to get this room looking more like a guest room. I also want to switch out some of the artwork in here.

 3. Practice photography of our apartment. When we were selecting our apartment, Sam was very particular about the direction (north or south) of the apartment. He didn't want to be sitting on the porch and get hot because the sun was shining right in our faces. At the time, I thought this was completely logical! But now that we've lived here over a year, I hate it! Our apartment is SO DARK!! It's dark in the morning, in the afternoon, all day long! This makes it very difficult to photograph our apartment. I've been doing some research and there are a couple difficult methods I want to try. I think it would also help to take these photos with my tripod.

4. Research things to do in Charleston! We're going to Charleston the week of the 25th to visit Stephanie, and we have yet to come up with an itinerary. I love planning vacations and usually have a plan put together way before now, but I just haven't been on top of things lately! We're bringing Finnegan with us, and Stephanie is very excited! I think she misses Finn more than she misses me!

5. I'm starting the 24 Day Challenge with Advocare on Monday. Ashley is my coach and she's sent some great videos to the team. I want to watch them to get pumped up about starting. I also need to figure out what I'm going to eat!

    I love that you have a "wedding room!" That is awesome. I wish we had one of those, but our place isn't big enough for that...sad day!

    Those chairs are going to look great when they are done. I would love to be able to go to Goodwill and pick out something really old and see the potential of it. It's awesome that you can do that!

  3. My rental house is so dark too! Especially in the kitchen, which is not good when I need delicious-looking pictures for all the recipes I post! I told my husband that when we eventually buy our own home, it has to have a kitchen with a LOT of windows and natural light! ;)

  4. There are so many fun things to do in Charleston! There is a plantation in Mount Pleasant that I really want to visit. I've also heard great things about visiting the tea plantation where they make Firefly Vodka. We loved the aquarium last year. And of course, you should see the market downtown. If you are running short on time (we did last year--and it was about to rain) a carriage tour is a great way to learn a lot really fast!

  5. I did the 24 day challenge last year, and it was great! You will have so much more energy and just feel better. I did anyway! I remember eating a lot of chicken and salad. I still take some of the vitamins and drink Spark regularly. Good luck!
