Honeymoon: Mykonos, Greece

Thursday, August 7, 2014

We didn't have any excursions or tours planned for Mykonos, so we just wandered around and took photos. The only thing we had planned for Mykonos was getting professional photos taken of ourselves, which I will post about tomorrow.

Mykonos is famous for its windmills

Panagia Paraportiani, the most photographed church in Mykonos

The most famous landmark in Mykonos. These were built by the Venetians in the 16th century to mill flour.

 There were stray cats everywhere.

This part of town is known as little Venice, which is a row of fishing houses built in the 18th century. From Wikipedia, "They originally belonged to rich merchants or captains and the little basement doors that provided direct access to the sea and underground storage areas led people to believe that the owners were secretly pirates."

View of the main town of Chora.

 Sam took these Intagram photos.
