Hot Air Balloon ride

Monday, July 21, 2014

When we were dating, we decided not to exchange Valentine's presents and instead went to The Biltmore. After that experience, we both agreed that enjoying an experience together is better than giving each other more stuff, so that's how we celebrate birthdays now. My birthday was in June and we decided to go on a hot air balloon ride, which neither of us had ever done before. I booked the balloon ride three times and it got cancelled two of those times due to weather. It can't be stormy, rainy, or very windy in order to go up. This last weekend we were finally able to go! We did a sunrise ride and met with Fly High Balloons at 5:15 in the morning. The early day was completely worth it because it was so fun and it wasn't hot at all!

They blew up the balloon using cold air fans first and then blowing the fire.

We landed on the edge of a farmer's field safe and sound!
