We decided to go on a Greek Island cruise for our honeymoon. The cruise ship left from Venice, so we spent two days in Venice before leaving on the cruise.
This is the hotel we stayed at, and we LOVED it! Since we were on our honeymoon, the hotel delivered champagne and strawberries to our room (which we didn't even have to pay for!).
We ate dinner at our hotel restaurant one night, and it was a very beautiful space! Our hotel backed up to the Winter Gardens, which was the inspiration for the interior of the dining room.
Our hotel wasn't very centrally located, which meant that we had to do a lot of walking to get anywhere. Walking around so much was actually the best part of Venice. We would just wander around and look at the beautiful architecture.
We spent a few hours at the Peggy Guggenheim museum.
I'm not a much fan of modern art, but we both liked this painting because it reminded us of Finnegan.
These are the street signs in Venice. Trying to get around in Venice without getting lost is basically impossible.

Not the best photo of us, but it's actually the only photo of the two of us in Venice. #Fail
This photo was taken in front of St Mark's Basilica in San Marco Square.

We took so many photos in Venice, so stayed tuned for Venice Part 2 tomorrow.
