Germany: Wiesbaden and Mainz

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

I'm currently in Greece on my honeymoon! In the meantime, I have a series of travel posts scheduled until I return.
I spent an evening in Mainz walking around the town square

Johannes Gutenberg was born in Mainz, which is where this museum is.

I was fascinated with these metal type plates of the Gutenberg Bible

Mainz Cathedral

The next few photos were taken in the town square of Wiesbaden

Wiesbaden Market Church

Walking around the square in Wiesbaden

another view of Market Church

a park in Wiesbaden

Hessische Staatstheater, a theater

The Kurhaus, includes a spa and casino

hot springs

The water was boiling hot! I couldn't believe how hot it was!

Another hot springs, but this one was very stinky

I loved all the old architecture

On the way to a work meeting, I passed by a canola field and had to get some close-up photos.
