Photography class

Friday, April 25, 2014

At the beginning of the year, I saw this post on Green Tree Photography's website about a beginner photography class that they were hosting. I had been shooting in manual since the summer but it was quite a struggle, so this class seemed like the perfect opportunity for me.

We started out the class with a teaching session, and then in the last half of the class we had a styled shoot where we got to practice what we learned. Here are some of my favorite images:

We got to eat this cake after the photo shoot and it was AMAZING!!! It was a white cake with raspberry filling and the whole cake was wrapped in chocolate. YUM!! The cake was provided by A Slice at a Time.

During the class, Jan asked us what are goals were to get out of the class. My goal is to shoot my honeymoon photos completely in manual. We're going to Greece!

The model was Jan's sister. Isn't she stunning?!

During the class, shooting in manual really clicked for me, and I've been shooting in manual ever since. Read Jan's recap of the workshop here.
