V-Day package

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

I guess I'm a little late talking about Valentine's Day, but this is the first chance I've had to blog.

On Valentine's Day, I went to lunch with my roomie, Melissa. We went to a delicious Asian restaurant. I like the restaurant mostly for its design. One wall has a waterfall built into the wall (but the food is good too)!

That evening, I braved the crowds and went to Olive Garden with my friends Bridget and Cara. We were told we would have to wait two hours, but it only ended up being one hour.

I got my Valenine's package from Shawn on Monday, and when I opened it the first thing I noticed was that the box smelled like him. The second thing I noticed was his homemade confetti. He had cut up strips of patterned paper and put it in the box. I thought that was such a cute touch! He also made me two cards and bought one. One of the cards he made he sprayed with his cologne, and that's why the box smelled like him.

He sent me my favorite candy-Sour Patch Kids. He also sent me a heart shaped box of Ghiradelli dark chocolate. I opened the box, and he had written on a piece of paper, "I love you more than..." On each piece of individually wrapped chocolate he had written something: science, movies, the beach, podcasts... I thought it was really sweet:) I don't want to throw any of the wrappers away.

He also included some individually wrapped packages of gummi bears, another of my fav candies. On each wrapper of the bears, he had written adjectives that are descriptive of me. Some things he wrote were "creative, petite, beautiful..."

I enjoyed reading about everyone's Valentine's Day. I had a great one! I just wish we could be together on Valentine's, but my package was a nice alternative.

  5. And the crowd all says, "Awwww!"

Super sweet. It's always the little things that mean the most. I would keep all of the wrappers!

Glad you had a great day, sans your man!

An hour wait for Olive Garden?! That's ridiculous. It's like that here too which is why I refuse to go there. You have way more patience than I do.
