Home not Home Home

Sunday, January 11, 2009

My sister Megan calls my school my "home" and my family's house is my "home home."

Last night I arrived "home" and I start my last semester of classes tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to these classes. Half of them are classes that I've procrastinated taking. Like Plants and People lab. Ick! I took the class two years ago, but I never took the lab. Another class I'm not looking forward to is Senior Art Exhibit. I'm being forced to participate in the Senior Art Show. I could really care less about it. Interior Design is part of the Art Department, and everyone in the Art Department has to participate in the Senior Exhibit. We're supposed to come together as a class and get it catered and send out invitations, etc. I can understand why this would be important for painting or drawing students, but I think it's pointless for the Interior Design students.

Something I am looking forward to: meeting the new interior design professor. She has a lot of connections that can help us find internships. At the end of this month, I'll be sending out packets (mini portfolio, cover letter, resume, and portfolio on CD) to possible internship places. I can't believe I'm almost done with my classes! And I'm afraid that it will be hard finding my two internships. I'm getting nervous!
