I'm back! I actually got back on Monday, and I meant to post earlier...more on that later.

I got home on Monday around 12:30, after a very very long day. I got up at 3:30 am (it was awful getting up that early) to go to the Hartford airport. Let me tell you, never ever go to the Hartford, CT airport. It is the worst airport. Not that I've been to very many, but it was terrible. I had to wait in line for 50 minutes to check in because they only had ONE line open! By the time I got the counter, I had missed the check-in time (since you have to check in 30 minutes before the plane leaves) which meant that I had to get another flight. After that, it just got worse. Delay after delay. By the time I got home I was exhausted. I spent several hours in bed recovering.

By the time I woke up it was Tuesday. The day I meant to post lots of pictures about my trip. It was also the day I started reading the Twilight series. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

I have to admit that I HATED the first book. Ugh! I couldn't understand why people liked it. The vocabulary was nonexistent, it wasn't very descriptive and there was practically no dialogue. I can understand why teenagers would like them, but adults?? I decided to read the next one to see if I could figure out the appeal.

And I loved it! I was hooked! I read a lot of books, but I've never been so drawn into a series. I didn't want to sleep. Or eat. Or change out of my bathrobe. Thankfully I'm a super fast reader, and I finished all four books in two days. Now I'm back to normal.

I'll be posting about my trip soon.

  1. Speechless. I hated the second one. It was so boring and all about Jacob.

    But glad you're a fan nonetheless. :)

I saw the movie over break and you're gonna FREAK when you say Jacob. hahah. Totallyyyy not what I expected. Werewolf looking indeed.

  2. hahahahahahaha you know what? I wasnt crazy about the first one, but i HAD to read the others to find out what happens. I was like while finishing them, I could NOT do anything else while reading. I needed to know. But now that Im done, Im not crazy in love with them. I wouldnt read them again, but it was entertaining while it lasted! :)

  3. I read the first one, but none after that, I guess it didn't grab me. Which is strange, because normally my guilty pleasure is vampire stories...

  4. Sounds like what happened to me when I read the first Harry Potter book in college. I think I ended up reading the first 3 (or 4?) over a weekend. :)

Sorry you had such a crappy trip, but I'm glad it only took one day! I have slept overnight in an airport baggage claim (Charlotte) and that *sucked*!

Looking forward to your pictures. :)

  5. So you've jumped on the Twilight bandwagon too? What did you then about the very end? I couldn't put the books down either!

Sorry about all the delays. That happened to me too to and from my trip to WA. I hate how you pay a certain price for a ticket, just for the time, and you end up getting home later!

  6. Some of the content is very worthy of my drawing, I like your information!
