Cookies and waffles and presents

Monday, December 22, 2008

I just made some delicious homemade waffles, which is one of my favorite things to make at home. We have a great waffle maker.

I also made the White Chocolate Peppermint Cookies that so many people had been talking about. Every single person in my family loved them! They were a huge hit. Usually I'll bake something and one person will like it and someone else won't. That was not the case with these cookies. The only problem I had was with the white chocolate I used. I guess it was old and wasn't really melting. My sisters were anxious to try these cookies, so we all hopped in Megan's temporary car and drove to Kroger for more chocolate. It was also pouring rain at the time. Aside from that little mishap, they turned out great!

My mom is busy wrapping Christmas presents. Only three more days until Christmas. I hope everyone has a great one!

One more thing, I just updated my header. What do you think? It was made by the wonderful Becca.

  2. Love the header! I did notice it immediately!

I just made those White Chocolate Peppermint Cookies again yesterday for my co-workers. I ran out of my good chocolate (just Bakers white chocolate) really early so I had to resort to using white chocolate chips. Big mistake! I had the same problem as you, in that it wouldn't melt and I ended up with ugly cookies and a big mess. Stick to the good stuff!
