Photoshop Love

Sunday, November 16, 2008

I didn't realize it had been such a long time since my last post. I've been busy, busy!

  • I've been blowing my budget for my studio apartment project. Our original budget was $15,000 but it was increased to $45,000. Last time I checked I had spent around $71,000. I'm just going to pretend that I don't have a budget. It's not really working for me with the time period I have. One of my class mates suggested I do an extra elevation drawing. That way I can get bonus points for the extra drawing, which will make up for the points I'll lose for going over budget.

  • Yesterday my student chapter of American Society of Interior Designers had a fundraiser. We sold ornaments and Christmas cards at the Holiday Market, which is an outdoor craft fair.

  • I've been learning how to make digital boards in Photoshop. I know I've said before that I don't like Photoshop, but I've changed my mind now. Photoshop is great.

  • Speaking of Photoshop, I've been editing some head shots for a friend. She got an art student here to take the photos. The student charged her $50 for taking the photos, but here's the thing: the student didn't even have her own camera! I think $50 would be a fair price for a student who had her own SLR camera and was going to edit a few of the photos. I definitely think that student was taking advantage of my friend, plus she was very unprofessional. I will definitely be spreading the word to never use that student as a photographer.

  • Shawn and I have discussed me visiting him for Christmas! I'm so excited! Now we just have to figure out the dates.

  • I've been going on a lot of photo shoots for my photography class. And I thought I would share some of my favorites:

  • Now I'm off to edit the photos from the lastest photo shoot I went on, which was a portrait session. I worked with three great models. Hope everyone has a great week!

    2. Since you're such a talented emerging photographer, maybe you could make some money at this.
