It's that time of year again

Friday, October 17, 2008

The leaves are changing. The temperature is cooling. And I'm moving all my belongings into the interior design building.

That's right, it's crunch time. My project is due in less than a week-on Wednesday. I will be spending all my spare time, when I'm not in class, working on my real client project. Tonight I'm taking my computer, printer, glue sticks, glue gun, and two totes bags filled with whatever else I need to survive the next few days (lots of snacks and tea). Unlike some other girls, I not be sleeping in the Annex. That's where I draw the line. I will not be bringing sleeping bags and coolers filled with alcohol (yes, people actually do this). I will stay up until 3 or 5am, and then I will go back to my room to sleep, and come back in the morning after my classes are over.

I will also be doing most of this work without the help of my partner. Even though this is a partner project and we're supposed to be working together, she decided to go to Arkansas, without telling me, and won't be coming back until Sunday. She's been out of town for over a week, and neglected to tell me about it. I came to class this past Wednesday, and she didn't show up. It was a very bad day to miss class because our professor taught a new model making technique. Since my partner missed this demonstration, I will be making the entire model by myself. I've done most of this project myself anyway so what's an extra model thrown in to my to do list.

Goodbye for now. I won't have any time to blog in the next few days since I will be very busy. I hope I make an A!

  1. Yikes, that sounds intense!! Good luck :)

And I definitely agree with you about the group work, it sucks! I always seem to end up being the one who is on top of things which means I do the whole dang thing myself. Rotten.

I hope you get that "A"!

  2. Oh I remember those days. I'll be thinking about you. Maybe I can steal away and bring you Chick-Fil-A? Let me know!

  3. Lexi came in the room the other day and said "Where's Rebecca's computer? and Printer? Does she take them with her everywhere she goes...?"
