Conversation with my Mama

Monday, October 13, 2008

I have really enjoyed my Fall Break, which unfortunately will be ending tomorrow. I've enjoyed hanging out with my sisters. Stephanie is trying to convince me to write her paper for her. She believes that her classes (she's a senior in high school) are harder than mine (except for my designer classes). When she's not trying to get me to write her paper, she's giving me ideas of what to blog about.

Sorry, Stephanie, I already have an idea of what to blog about. (She's currently reading this over my shoulder and calling me bad names. That's what sisters are for, right? That, and correcting my grammar.)

My mom and I were sitting on the couch (I'm not supposed to use the word "couch" because it's slang. I'm supposed to say sofa. But this is my blog, and I'll use whatever word I want to.) Anyway, my mom asked me what my favorite blog is. And then she asked, "Do you know what my favorite blog is?"
"One of your teacher blogs?" I replied.
"My favorite blog is [Almost] A Designer. She's so interesting and takes such great pictures."
"Aww, thanks Mama."
"Everyone wants to know where you find the time to blog."
"I blog during work." (Not my interior design work, but my other job, the boring one)
"So you're being paid to blog?"
"Yep, it's great."

Now, I just have to not get caught. It's my highest paying job, and I'd like to keep it.

  1. Ha! That's a great post. Fun insight into your family.

Yep, don't get caught!! (That's what I'm doing too)

  2. Aww, how sweet it that?!

I think the majority of us do to some extent or the other . . . :)

  3. Sounds like you had a great Fall Break!

Nothing wrong with being paid to blog. I've been doing that for about the last two years. :)

  4. Now, if you could only get your blog to actually accumulate revenue. That'd be great.

    You're mom is so sweet!
